Force Card Presentment for Refunds

This setting controls whether the original payment card must be presented for refunds.

On the Viva terminal:

  1. Go to Settings > PIN-protected settings.

  2. Under Additional options, toggle Force card presentment for refunds on/off.

When enabled:

Original payment card must be presented for all refunds. This provides additional security but reduces operational flexibility.

When disabled:

Refunds process automatically without requiring the original card. This enables remote refund processing.

This allows staff to process refunds for customers who have left the venue and for delivery orders where issues are reported after driver return.
