# Petty Cash
Petty Cash allows users to manage cash in the till for day-to-day operations, such as adding money for change or removing excess cash at the end of a shift. It keeps a record of all cash movements to maintain accurate till balances.
## Recording Petty Cash Transaction from the POS
1. In the POS, click **Petty Cash.**
2. Enter the **Amount** of cash.
3. Optionally provide a **Reason** for the transaction.
4. Select **In** if you're adding cash to the till or **Out** if you're removing cash from the till.

Only users with this permission can access and manage petty cash: **"User can access petty cash"**.
