# Using Segments

Segments can be used to define target audiences for push message campaigns, enabling more precise and relevant customer communication.

## Assigning a Notification to a Segment

1. In the [Admin Portal](https://admin.gobossit.com/), go to the group level.
2. Navigate to Marketing > Push Notifications.
3. Fill in relevant details.
4. Under **Targeting & Audience**, change the **Audience** to **Segment.**
5. Select the relevant segment.
