# SMS Setup Guide

The ability to send sms via Boss It is now available. To send SMS through Boss It, you must first register your Sender ID with ComReg. This is a legal requirement in Ireland.

### Step 1: Register your Sender ID&#xD;

Go to:[ https://senderid.comreg.ie/](https://senderid.comreg.ie/)

Select:\
✔️ “I’m applying to be a Sender ID Owner”

Complete your business details and submit your application.

### Step 2: Choose your Sender ID&#xD;

This is the name customers will see when you text them (e.g. YourRestaurant)

Select your SMS provider (this will be handled via Boss It using **Phonivation**, so please enter Phonivation here)

### Step 3: Get approved&#xD;

Once submitted, wait for confirmation from ComReg that your Sender ID is approved.

### Step 4: Share with us&#xD;

Once approved, send your Sender ID to your Boss It account manager.

We’ll take care of enabling SMS on your account via our provider, Phonivation.

## Important

* SMS cannot be used until your Sender ID is approved
* Messages may be blocked or flagged if not registered
* You must only message customers who have opted in
