# Stock Calculations

The system performs automatic calculations daily.

The system records the previous day's system stock count. All transactions and deliveries are applied. The system generates a new stock figure for the next day's closing.

1. **Previous Day Closing = Current Day Opening**
2. **Add Changes**
3. **Current Day Closing = Next Day Opening**

> **Example**
>
> Sunday
>
> * Closing System Count: 100 Coke Cans
> * This will be Monday's Opening Count.
>
> Monday
>
> * Opening System Count: 100 Coke Cans
> * Total Incoming: 50
> * Total Outgoing: 83
> * Closing System Count: 67 Coke Cans
>
> Tuesday
>
> * Opening System Count: 67 Coke Cans

When a Stock Count is submitted, the system remembers the stock values entered.

> **Example**
>
> Even if the system calculates 67 Coke Cans if you enter 50 as the Closing stock on Monday, the following day will open at 50.

This ensures that user-submitted stock counts always take precedence over system-calculated counts.
